RAW + VULNERABLE + RELATABLE

BROKEN STILL CHOSEN
Like many small-town boys growing up in the Midwest, Rob Roozeboom’s desire was to be a farmer and an athlete. However, after being diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at age five, Rob watched helplessly as his illness destroyed his dreams.

Wrestling with feeling different and forgotten, questioning his very existence, Rob encountered the transforming grace of Jesus in a deeply personal way.
That encounter changed everything.
Rob founded RISE Ministries in 2001 and launched RiseFest in 2005. Since then, he has become a sought-after speaker, sharing his story and bringing Jesus’ message of hope to communities, businesses, and prominent events nationwide. He’s shared stages with respected Christian leaders and artists across the country, including Phil Wickham, Josiah Queen, FOR KING + COUNTRY, TobyMac, Skillet, Lecrae, Anne Wilson, Jep Robertson, Megan Fate Marshman, Darryl Strawberry, and many others.
Rob and his wife live in northwest Iowa and have three young adult children. Beyond RISE Ministries, Rob also serves as Chairman of the Christian Festival Association (CFA) and is the author of Broken Still Chosen. Across his life and work, Rob’s message is consistent: no one is too broken, unseen, or forgotten for God to use.
